OK, boys and girls, if U haven’t noticed by now – I’m a huge fan of Prince and If U R in or around my age (40) you may have spent a few summer nights,back in the early 80's, at the movies 2 see “Purple Rain”. This movie rocked my young, male, teenage mind. It also introduced me to a 5 foot tall purple god. This movie had a profound effect on how I acted, talked, dressed and moved (especially around the “lady folk”) Needless 2 say, I really enjoyed this movie – especially the music….

I can truly relate with you on how the Purple Rain era transformed your life,as it did for many of us.
I was 13 when Purple Rain first came out in theaters.I watched it at the drive-ins with my older sister and 3 of her hott friends in a jam-packed car. Sitting in the back with 2 of her friends,with my jaw completely dropped.Staring in awe at the beautiful Apollonia on the big screen for the very first time,I was absolutely mesmerized.I can clearly remember saying to myself "Wow,life can't get any better than this"...Man,was I in heaven.I was a changed kid from that night foward.It sure does bring back alot of memories.

I've been looking everywhere for alot of these hard-to-find rare instrumental outtakes.Espspecially that heart-felt instrumental with the intimate love scene that takes over the mood when Prince & Apollonia are gettin' it on in his room.As his majestic electric guitar gracefully wept away into the night.I never heard such beautiful music in my life.There is a haunting aura of unreality and mystery about it.Really brings the chills down one's spine.

I wanted to ask you..Have you heard Purple Rain (fast-tempo)? I heard it 6 or 7 years ago in one of Prince's concerts but I think it was just a jam session.
Nevertheless,it was awesome..I was just wondering if he ever recorded it

hmmmm...interesting. i never heard of a fast version. i like when he plays with his songs. i'm sure there's 15 versions of each one. if i come across it, i'll let you know

I don't mind having all the versions on Kiss, as long as you don't put Tom Jones' version on it, ha ha...
