A LEGEND ON ITS OWN

The coming of Thor has been an enormous breakthrough for Reason's sonic capabilities. It has been a great challenge for us at Sonic Flavours to come with this refill so shortly after Reason 4 had been released. Thor is practically capable of doing everything and even much more. It's possible to emulate vintage keyboards (clavinets, organs etc.) at an extreme high level of realism. Besides this Thor can also sound as big and beautiful as its legendary predecessors do coming from brands like Moog, Oberheim, ARP, Yamaha, Roland, Nord Lead, Virus, PPG etc. Thor is already a legend on its own and we captured these legendary qualities into this refill.

THOR AND THE RED MOUSE

The Red Mouse explores worlds that have never been conquered before in Reason. Character, Atmosphere and Surprise are its main keywords. This refill is an add-on for our Red Mouse Workstation which means that this completes the Red Mouse palet making use of Thor and the RPG-8.

I think the program may be asking for the library CD's to install them. You have to burn a copy of the library cd's (orkestra (or something like that) and the other) in order to run the program). You only need do this once.

The Roland TB-303 Bassline is a classic synth, much revered and highly desirable. This ReFill contains samples from a real TB303 as well as samples from some of the best emulations available. There are 922 single note WAV files, which have been turned into 25 Combinator Instrument Patches and 23 NN-XT Patches. The demo video above shows a few of the Combinator Patches.

There are also 25 Combinator REX Patches. These patches contain a DR REX device which is loaded with one of the included 25 REX2 Loops* and a Matrix device for pattern playback. These patches have the original BPM included in their name, but will sync to your current project tempo (the BPM is included just for reference). You can tweak these patches in real-time, and, in some cases, change the Matrix pattern to hear variations of the original loop.

Reason Electric Bass Refill

Propellerhead Software is now shipping the Reason Electric Bass ReFill (Mac/Win) for Reason, the company's music production system.

Reason Electric Bass includes numerous Combinator patches for Reason 4, along with samples of eight classic electric bass guitars: the Fender Jazz Bass, the Fender Precision Bass (flatwound), the Gibson Les Paul, the Rickenbacker 4001, the Gibson EB-0, the Kay Hollowbody, the MusicMan Stingray Fretless, and the Fender Precision Bass (roundwound). Each patch contains performance embellishments, such as release samples, hammer-ons, and glissandos, for an organic-sounding bass instrument. All instruments were captured using the company's Hypersampling method, at multiple Velocity levels using both direct inputs and multiple sets of microphones through two different bass rigs.

This ReFill ships on two DVDs, both with 16-bit and 24-bit versions of the sound library. According to the manufacturer, the 16-bit version is lighter on the CPU and is ideal for composing and production work, while the 24-bit version is appropriate for final mixing.
